Past Simple

  • Their weren’t any department stores here twenty years ago.
  • Was there a park back then? - No, there wasn’t.
  • What was your favourite toys when you were a child?
  • Their wasn’t any cars here twenty years ago.
  • Is Julia ill? She wasn’t at school today.
  • There were a lot of people at the party last night.
  • Where were you yesterday?


  • Jack, Kate and I took part in this competition.
  • She worked company in 1989.

Unfortunately, James did not have time to visit Parc Guell, he was in Barcelona.
